Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Got up to 115° here yesterday, if you're in need of a more challenging goal

my right pedal starts squeaking after about 30 miles. Thoughts?

I sprayed some lube in it last week. Still squeaks.

People in this thread were COVID-shaming Tennessee a few weeks ago, but according to this site the state infection rate is still lower than the national average.

Made a quick run to the REI near my NJ office for a couple of items. Boy are the shelves relatively bare. Maybe a dozen bikes on the floor. Small selection of nutrition products. No short bike gloves. They didn't even have the camp soap I was looking for. Damn! Just looked at the substitute I bought. Wrong stuff. Says don't get in eyes. Guess I will use it for dishes.

Pedal, cleat, BB, chainring bolts - it's hard to tell their squeaks and creaks apart. Keep looking and good luck.

Yep. Though it would be awfully fun to have that power! Those FirstBeat numbers never impressed me much.

More than weeks, and it was because measures taken and infection rated were worse than your peers. As we’ve seen, this thing is fluid, and success is fleeting. Even places like Singapore are having issues again.

Wait - where can you get a gilet for only a $40 premium? Asking for a friend.

A too tall truck struck this bridge on the East Broad Top this spring, and shoved the alignment over just a little.

In local rail bridge news, the BNSF bridge over Tempe Town Lake is back in action!

I've had squeaky Delta cleats before. I think the little rubber nub got some moisture on it and squeaks against the wear plate on the pedal.

Does the gilet have "This is a gilet" written on it in large, easy to read letters?

Maybe. Or you can get it to say "Rapha" but that's prolly an extra $50.
