RE: the $49 Bianchi frame, this old guy needs an explaination. What exactly is a "solid bike" and why would one want to lock it outside?
Thank you!

Schwinn Tempo without tires....$1000 firm....

This one has been listed locally for awhile. You'd think with his firm price he could at least put some tires on it.

It's pretty but still...

"No games , firm on price
Great for collectors out there .
Bike is in great shape for its age
check pics for details condition and size measurements
$1000"

The copied ad copy is funny. Beyond that, this seems to me like a really bad design. I'm actually kind of amazed that cantilevered crank doesn't just crack right off during moderately hard pedaling.

I really want to take a look at this bike, but there's no way I'm meeting the owner, obviously a giant praying mantis.

Wow. What a jumble of conflicting impulses. Lots of lipstick on that pig, but why "upgrade" to heavy-as-heck Rigida Chromix rims?

I'm just guessing here. Maybe the seller means it would build into a decent, ridable (solid) bike and could be locked up outside with minimal risk of being stolen because the condition would not appeal to thieves. He may be underestimating thieves.
