Hi,
Nice videos and photos. I'm familiar with these places.
These videos have been seriously edited right?
I don't mean to burst a bubble but unless you tell people all the problems have been removed from these photos they misrepresent reality and lead to unrealistic expectations. E.g. cars, scooters, people, litter...

No, the videos have not been edited at all. After Baling, there's hardly any traffic.

i have just completed a three-week tour of Taiwan on a 406-wheel Dahon Dash folding minivelo. The route took me from Taipei to Taitung via the Northern Cross Highway and the East Rift Valley. Happy to answer any questions about touring in Taiwan or on a folding bike.

Riverine bikepath. Taipei has a great system of bike paths

Scenery on the Northern Cross

Taroko Gorge. Simply out of this world

East Rift Valley country road

East coast scenery

Great photos and videos! I am coming to Taiwan for work related trip and wanted to do a short 3-day mini-tour along the east coast. Do you have a suggestion for where to start/finish and southward vs northward direction? How was the weather? What time did it get light/ dark? I will be there about a year after you..
