I don't have a purple bike. My wife does though; it's her "everything" bike (she's a cyclomonogomist):

1995 Tecnos, recently converted to ten speed. It's hard to show in photos, but the lettering fades from lime green to silver.

^That looks red to me, which fits the theme of this thread I guess; half the bikes are a color blind shade of purple

That Sun looks like a color combo the late Brian Baylis would go with.
I would not pair them but it works.

We're bound to have a better photo but this is the only one I could find of her Trek, hanging in the basement of the old house.

Yum, purple bikes. I have a '96 Trek 7000 in flat metallic purple, and a Soma double cross in "Midnight Silver" (light flat metallic purple).
I am too lazy to go out to the garage and photo them, so look them up on Google, and admire them!

I don't know why my friend installed the luggage carrier.
In fact, the frame is not bad.
Haha it is my fault, didn't stop him...

Late-60's SEARS (edited, OOPS) 10-SPEED, sort of a poor-man's Super Course:

Mid-90's Ciocc, built with standard-diameter, ovalized MiniMax tubing, and is more of a purplish blue:

Duh, meant SEARS, wish I could say that the spell-check wrote that for me.

Built by Steyr/Puch in Austria, I bought it for the color and axle wingnuts you could say, that plus my previous Steyr ownership.

Edited.

And haven't we all seen too many bikes called Schwinn in the classifieds, but that weren't?
