The type of attitudes that the local motorist are exhibiting this past week, having a very healthy budget cycling budget, thanks to a reduced motor vehicle budget, a couple of video cams are definitely on the commuting horizon. Lots of good info on this thread.

On a positive note, I have had very few negative interactions. But I also rode a motorcycle for 12 years without ever dropping a bike and never stopped being paranoid about getting smashed. It might be the reason that I never dropped a bike.

Over 20 years on a motorcycle here, the road surface and I have met intimately on several occasions during that time frame, none due to collisions, but road hazards left by motor vehicles.
The cameras for the bike are mainly for that one particular overly aggressive motorist, whoever that may be, that I'm not able to get out of the way of in time. I'm hoping that all this aggressive attitudes by local motorists is only fueled by the heated elections that we recently had, a week or so before that it was fairly mellow going.

Here's a 2:45 minute movie I made with a regular type Canon Sd 960.
Using a simple mount
https://content.photojojo.com/diy/att...-to-your-bike/
and a VirtualDub filter called the deshaker to smooth out the video.

The menu claim's I can get another hour of 640*480 with 45 minutes already used on board or 31 minutes of 1280*720. This with a 8 gig sd card.
