How many bikes do you have?
As I stated I am getting my 2nd bike this week. I've never had more than 1, it will be cool to have choices now

Four. An old and failing Bianchi Boardwalk from 1991, a Specialized Roubaix Elite from 2007, a Dahon Speed D7 from 2008, and a Specialized Roll Elite from a week and a half ago. It's good to have choices.

Also nice to have both steel and CF.
Its nice to have a rack or carrier on a city cruiser for making short shopping trips and Not needing a car.
I also enjoy the simplicity of a single speed.

But seriously, I have three bikes (four if you count my wife's comfort bike, which I ride once a year or so). Each bike gives me a deeper appreciation of the others.

I have two, a Trek 4900 MTB and a Trek Verve 2 Hybrid. The Hybrid I use to commute and general casual rides the MTB I use to ride the trails.

I started with one in 1999. Then added a 2001 Litespeed Tuscany. I've had as many as 3 bikes at a time but one bike always seemed to get neglected so .....

i am going to sell one of my 80s road bikes in a few months or maybe next spring. Too redundant and it fits the least well.

My original 26" Hardrock from before I started cycling "more seriously" ...... then a 29er although I should probably have got what will be next bike instead which will be a gravel bike and later on maybe a road bike as well or a 2nd set of wheels / tyres for the gravel bike ... probably a 3rd set actually as I may get some 650's for it as well.

I love both fix gears and road bikes. I've settled on 5 bikes; 2 fix gear, 2 road and one that can do it all.

Four that I use on a regular basis: CF road bike for fast road rides, gravel bike for gravel, winter road riding, and maybe cyclocross (!), steel single speed for commuting, general utility/transportation riding, and sometimes road cycling, and old MTB for deep winter (I live on the Wisconsin/Minnesota border.)
In addition, I have a cruiser that needs to be sold and two somewhat beat up vintage frames that should probably be retired and enough parts to turn them back into complete bikes. There's also my husband's nice FG bike that's been in the basement for a while.
At the moment, my winter beater has been beat and needs to be replaced. I really want to get another beater AND a fat bike, which would put 5 bikes in regular rotation

I only have two, my hybrid which I use basically as a road bike and occasionally on trails, and a mountain bike I use on gravel and for commuting around town.
