Hello from Phoenix!
Long time lurker, first time poster. I've ridden and commuted on and off my entire life. I just have a MTB but would like to get a pair of road bikes so my son and I can ride together.
I volunteer as a bike mechanic at a local non-profit that donates and resells bikes to help those in need. I'm very grateful for all the mech advice and the C+V expertise in the forums here.
Phoenix is a great place to ride. Come visit sometime. It's a dry heat.

Welcome to Bike Forums. I have visited Phoenix but not for cycling. I have done training camps in Tucson.

HEY, greeting from a long time South Phoenix resident now living in Las Vegas. I grew up riding to the towers on South Mountain. Also delivered the AZ Republic and Phoenix Gazette. Great memories.
KUDOs for being a volunteer bike mechanic. Good strong attitude.

Hey there! Plenty of miles logged commuting and just riding in Tucson for me. Welcome. When I lived there (the adult pert of my stint there, at least) any road project was to include the addition of a bike lane. Of course, there is generally space to do that in the wide open landscapes as opposed to cramped in places like so many cities in the Midwest and East, etc.

Welcome Groundsloth! I make it out to Tucson semi-annually for family and riding, and Phoenix for the Valley of the Sun Stage Race. It is indeed a good place to ride!
