Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You failed to mention beer. Proper beer.

That is punishable by death, followed by an additional 500 roadie demerit points on your permanent cycling record.

I just giot back from a ride. Pizza waiting for me when I got there.

Burritos are for when you are drunk and the pizza places are closed.

Burrito all the way. That's what I had after yesterday's ride.

Along with a Mexican Coke.

Um, burrito. Must have the fatty goodness of avocado/guac, though.

So many revealed as not being true and serious cyclists .... this thread is unmasking the poseurs .... From Fred to Froome, pizza is the ultimate food.

Burritos are good---sometimes great---but there can only be one peak of the mountain.

Where did you get pizza today on Easter Sunday? No Italian owner pizzeria would be opened today.

Both?

Or you could go with a Calzone, and get the best of both worlds

It depends a bit on one's ride.

After this ride:

There was really only one choice.

I prefer a steak usually, but I understand the argument for a burrito if it's The Big Juan.

Pizza.
But may I give a serious answer to the more general question of what to eat after a (big) ride? Whatever is in the fridge or on the menu. Fast food or delivery is the last thing I want.
When eating out, the choice is usually about the place - a restaurant with outdoor seating is the thing. It doesn't matter if it's biscuits and gravy, pasta, a burger, or steak frites, but I want to sit down someplace pleasant and have wait staff take care of things. When eating at home, a big plate of leftovers is the best; yesterday it was pot roast with potatoes and carrots.

Both. Alternating bites as well, lol.

Can't eat either being keto, but a naked burrito would be my go to. Extra guacamole please!

Paleo myself. I go for the Hot Wings at a pizza place.

or Fajitas, if we end up at a mexican joint.
