Shimano XT or SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain?

Shimano XT or SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain?
I have an extra eagle 1x12 drivetrain laying around and im about to have my new 2018 cannondale trigger 3 assembled. The trigger 3 comes with a 1x11 shimano xt drivetrain. Which drivetrain would be better for all around mountain biking and trails? The leftover drivetrain will go in my trek dual sport 2 hybrid bike however i will be putting in a biggert chain ring.

What are the chainring and cassette sizes?
I just bought an XT 1x11 setup for my FS bike, but have not installed it yet. I am using the XT shifter and RD, but went with a Sunrace 11-46 cassette because I did not like the cog spcing at the low end of the XT cassette
I have an NX 1x11 cassette, RD, and shifter on my fat bike (came with it). It works fine, I guess, but kind of clunky with a cheap feel to it, IMO. And I am no drivetrain snob. I run a range of stuff from ancient SRAM ESP and old-ish X-5 / Deore stuff to XT / Ultegra / X-9, and I am perfectly content with the ESP, X-5, and Deore stuff.
If I had to rate how the NX compares overall to other groupsets, I would say it is something like SRAM X-5 or Shimano Deore. Of course I am comparing 11 sp to 9 sp, so it may not be apples to apples.
So I have not actually used either of the drivetrains you are considering (thus may be talking out of my @$$), but based on my experience with 11-sp NX and a lot of XT stuff (as well as reviews of the drivetrain you are lookig at) I would go with the XT on my mtb, assuming the gearing works for you.

I jumped from a 9 speed shimano to the Eagle GX 12 speed, so never had the Shimano 11 speed. I love the Eagle, but never had any problems with the Shimano I didn't cause my self by mis-adjusting, crashing, or in one case while removing the derailleur from the frame and pulled the wrong screw. Watched a spring shoot across the garage. Never could get that spring back in right, had to buy a new 9 speed derailleur.
