No Gila for Astana

Because of yet another ridiculous UCI rule. This is probably the worst yet. They prohibit superstars from racing at local events yet expect the sport to prosper? Absurd!

So.....the UCI can enforce the rule for one race, but look the other way for another? Wow...it is so illogical, I can hardly believe it. Way to take a sniper shot UCI.....good job...idiots.

THIS!

That is the obvious issue here ..... the SELECT enforcement of the rules. Clearly, if you selectively enforce the rules, then you are NOT enforcing the rules at all.

I have no problem with the rule. However ALL rules should be enforced with an even hand. Either that, or the rule should be abolished. To play it both ways smells of something rotten.

Levi's twitter says he's going to Silver City, updated about an hour ago. Maybe the UCI reconsidered, or he's just going there to train instead of going to Aspen.

THere are tweets rom bruny, Levi, and Armstrong suggesting a sudden change in plans from CO to NM but with out specifically saying Gila bound - one hopes they pull this off without getting the UCI in a twist.

Haha yeah, that's awesome.

I can't wait to see pictures.

I wonder who Horner's going to give a piggy back ride to this time. Call it hill training for the giro...
