anyone know anything about this Kalkhoff bike..

guy wants $600 I offered $150,

This is a beautiful "Kalkhoff"Road bike, 10 Speed, Dia Compe Braking system with Suntour Gear shifting.
Bike rides nice and is in very good condition. Approximately 1980's model German bike.

Ouch. Looks like a German department store bike, that guys nuts wanting 600, and 150 is excessive. Thats a $2-$15 yard sale deal.

lowlux, don't take this the wrong way, because I can find something charming in almost any bike, but that one is junk. DO NOT spend your hard earned $150 on it. Even with the crappy photos I can see: clumsy construction with plain, straight cut lugs, turkey levers, etc. It's junk. Run, or better yet ride away quickly from this one. It looks '70's, not 80's and anyone who would pay $600 for that should ride it straight to a German insane asylum.

Yeah, pretty junky bike. I worked in a bike shop that sold Kents and Kalkhoff's as a cheap alternate to Raleighs. Not a good alternative.
