Question about Cranks to the Mechanically Inclined
Does the Praxis Alba Crank work with Shimano 105 Groupset?
I am doing some upgrades on a bike and I know it is important for certain parts to work together..
I am going from a 3x9 to a 2x11 drivetrain

The specs say it works with both 10 and 11spd chains specifically so it will be fine.
Their webpage for the Alba Crank also states ''SHIMANO — Praxis rings shift great with both Di2 and mechanical Shimano 10/11sp drivetrains''

I am not sure, and some one will correct if I am wrong, but I believe going from a 3 FD to a 2 FD the chain line will have to be corrected. That would be when installing the BB. Please anyone, right or wrong?

It would be a good practice to check, certainly. However, if the new double crank and bottom bracket are designed to go together, it’s pretty likely that the chainline will be good as installed.

I was more concerned about a Shimano 105 front Derailleur being compatible with the Praxis Crank and as above.. Which Bottom Bracket would mount up to my frame correctly.

But have no experience with actually comparing them or lengths.
Once I understand more and more about bike mechanics by continuing to work on them.. I will get more and more adept.. not there yet haha

Working on it haha
Funny enough I do have a few books in my saved for later on amazon to help me here.
But because I didn't know, I thought I would ask here to those more knowledgeable than I am
