Newly rejoined

I was a member in the past but have been going through the adventure of a heart valve replacement and rehab for a bit over a year.
I am an avid cyclist, and have managed to stay fit and healthy despite challenges like having both hips replaced at age 60 and the heart valve replacement at age 64.

Welcome back bio'guy, I am a bit bionic also. Nothing as drastic as you , but I do have a mechanical disc in the lumbar area and a plate and screws in the cervical area. Bicycling has been a large factor in my staying active and in good health, both before and after surgeries. I am 66 and hope that if I get to be 80 plus years old I will still be pedaling.

Your surgery was pretty dramatic too. My buddy underwent a similar procedure except he got a tissue replacement disk, not mechanical. Rehab was challenging but he's doing great now, one year post op. How did rehab go for you?
