There are some places on the AL side that NEED to be closed and re-worked.
Not sure it's scheduled, though.
That time of the year is a good time to be closed, though. Glad they didn't pick warm months.

No update in November as promised. Flashing road signs are in place with closure dates but no new information.

Update as of January 6th 2020:

The bridge at about mile 8 has a barrier across it and a chain-link fence runs the entire length of the trail + about 10 feet on either side. they aren't kidding about no way to cross through there.

Update:

I rode over the new concrete deck on the bridge (at about mile 8) yesterday. It is open! Don't know the status of the closure down near Smyrna.

Parking at the trailhead lots has been closed for a week or two and this week the cobb police are patrolling in trucks on the trail. They mean business. Trail is closed and they will cite you. Second offense is confiscating your bike.
