DA9000 Shifter paddle
Rear Shifter, small paddle: click it to go to a higher gear. Shifting is fine.
The shifter has about 25K miles and the issue is that the paddle has some play in it, such that when I ride over rough terrain it bounces around and makes noise. Is there a spring in there that pushes the paddle back and is now either dirty or needs to be replaced? I have tried using mineral oil to clean, though it was a feeble attempt, nothing taken apart.

I might have tried wd40 on the spring ,but carefully don't get it everywhere. Start with a tiny squirt and move the paddle back and forth to see if that helps.
25k miles is not bad.I'm impressed.Bound to have gotten damp and dirt in there over those miles.

Flushing Re-ubing or total replacement, Shimano sells assembled parts, not many separate ones..
