I'm still struggling with the concept of exposing the n+1 formula to the non-initiate. Isn't that forbidden, shouldn't it be? How could they understand? Realizing that to a person without our particular fascination of the cycling past-time and equipment, n-1 is a far more logical formula and would be a natural reaction. It just seems dangerous to me, to let the formula fall into the wrong hands.

The people here at church will sometimes ask me how many bikes I have, my answer is 'depends on which ones you count', then I leave it at that. Actually I usually end up saying I have 2 or 3 that I ride more often, then I have the ones that I am fixing for donation to a person who needs one.
