It was very cool. Really glad that I was able to participate today. In other news, it is supposed to be almost 50° here again tomorrow. Then, the bottom drops out. By next Saturday the forecasted high for the day will be 29°. Intermittent periods of snow throughout the week. Chance of rain mixed with snow throughout the week. After I got home today I took the fat bike back out to shake the mud off the tires. Ended up doing another 7.5 miles just putzing around the woods outside of my apartment complex. Single track, nothing to blow your hair back, but it runs along a creek and there are a few small trees down that you can clear on a mountain bike.

I was just poking fun at the idea that it was somehow "international" as in "among nations." Sounds like a good time.

Mmm-mm! That is a tasty burger.

Sorry, no vids, just a few still photos.

Frankly, the first time was unplanned. After that though, the hunt was on. Can I find that ragged edge without killing myself?

Congrats. And dude, LEGS!

Installed a WUtang111 to my battery and got to e-tube on mah phones via some blueteeth! Di2 is freakin' awesome. I would post pictures but there is nothing to see because it is in the frame hidden away. Pretty soon will install the bar end Junction A and have a super clean set up.

Also made some delicious red sauce (tomato, marinara, gravy...) yesterday. The trick is few ingredients of high quality and plenty of wine. If you add sugar you have failed if you have a billion herbs you have failed. Whole peeled tomatoes, tomato paste, red red wine, garlic, onions, olive oil, basil, salt, red chili flake...cook it a while, longer is better. Eat on pasta or bread or whatever.

Adding sugar to pasta sauce of any nature is baffling to me.

A billion herbs on the other hand. I'm cool with that.

I have heard many times that you should use one herb you want the flavor of that to ring through in the sauce and not be clouded by others.

I see people use sugar and I lose it.

1st gravy I made on my own, yeah gravy, OK?, was vile. apparently I never paid attention to my Mother while living at home. I put too many different things in it. thus began a series of phone calls to Mom for cooking advice. but best meatballs were her mother's. Miss you Grandma Sal!

I was trying to connect the dots between Wu-Tang to di2 for the longest time and trying to figure out how they related...

I really need my coffee

The bluetooth E-Tube thing is WU-111 for Wireless Unit but I added in the Tang because that is what they should have called. Get rid of those Old Dirty Wires.

This is an easy week for me on the bike so I did the randomest thing this morning:

20' easy spin around the hood, then 20' run, then I kitted up again and rode into work (45 min). Gonna ride home after work too. It's windy and dry out! Kinda exciting to be outside but gets unpleasant after a few minutes.

today i installed the new tiagra 4700 on my space horse, much to MotorHeadroadie’s chagrin. i wanted 10 speed, i like the alloy levers, and the new shimano hood shape is the best shape up to this point imo.
haters gonna hate. also, it was cheap af.

Cool! How do you measure your mileage on that? Wireless Speedometer on the rear?

Today I cleared 3000 miles for the year with a colder than hell commute home from work. It was 22° F when I left work.

No need for this on rollers, because the front wheel also spins.

Most people use the same GPS computer and sensors as on the road. That's what I do.

The only difference indoors is that the GPS/mapping function is turned off.

Interesting, didn't realize that. Looks like there's a belt connecting the front roller to the rear. I'll have to switch to rollers one day! No more rear speedos for me.

Riding rollers is just like riding on the road, where you have to balance the bike and both wheels need to rotate to provide stability. Rollers are great for developing a smooth high cadence.
