Nike Indoor Cycling Shoes... Because Why Not?
https://news.nike.com/footwear/nike-...d-release-date
Funny how Nike is making an "indoor cycling shoe" but doesn't currently make any outdoor cycling shoes? I've got to wonder why one can't just use any cycling shoe for indoor riding. But I digress... if they sell, then it is a good idea.

Makes sense to me. The demands placed on a typical cycling shoe are significantly higher than those placed on a shoe for an indoor "bike" that doesn't go anywhere. Besides, Shimano already makes an indoor shoe, the IC5-- and the Giro knit-top shoes might as well be. I expect to see more labels pushing indoor shoes sooner than later.

laterally stiff, verically compliant, 5% faster than last year's model (if there had been one).
marketing is everything.
and in RED it's it's the fastest shoe on the market, not including Peloton riders who use Look cleats.

In gyms (are they still there?) the bikes usually have SPD pedals,
& those shoes don't have the cleats recessed, so damage to floors, and slippery walking.

I like them and have my eye on the black ones...wondering about pricing though.

The biggest difference between the Shimano IC5 shoe and the Nike is the type of cleats. Shimano is SPD and Nike is SPD-SL. In other words two bolt vs three bolt.
I am very interested in this shoe and looking forward to its release. I also agree with SlvrDragon50 that BOA would have been a nice touch.
