Tricross rear rack

Does anyone have any recommendations for a rear rack for a specialized tricross? the rear arm seems to be a bit too wide for most racks and i really dont want to have to bend them into place in order for them to fit.

What model year of the bike do you have? Is the problem because of a disc brake? If the problem isn’t because of a disc, most all rack have to be spread out just a little to fit. It’s not an issue. If the problem is because of a disc, you can get Jandd disc brake adapters that will allow you to stand the rack off more. Again, racks have a fair amount of stretch and can often handle the adapter. Aluminum racks may not like to be pulled that far apart and may eventually fail (after years and years of use).

If durability is a problem look at Tubus racks which are made of steel tubing. They are more durable. Tubus even makes a titanium rack...the Airy...which has no problem being pulled apart a long ways without issues. Bit expensive, however. A Tubus Cargo has a very wide stance for touring bikes.

I dont have any pictures yet because i havent had enough posts to be able to upload any. but to answer some of the questions, no it isnt a disk brake bike. but the rear arm is very wide for some reason. It is a Specialized TriCross Sport Triple. I think it may be around a 2010-2011 model but am not sure. I will post pics as soon as i am able

I have a 2009 Tricross Comp (non-disc) and have an Ortlieb Rack 3 that works great. Not the cheapest rack, but very sturdy and well designed. Fits well. I used it recently on a 1,000 mile bike tour and use it all the time when commuting or running errands. I would recommend it, if you're willing to pay that much.
