trackstand in front of the Dalai Lama

It happened today. The Dalai Lama's nephew owns a tibetan restaurant here in bloomington, so he visits here sometimes and gives some speeches.

I'm riding home from class and trackstanding in a line of cars waiting to get through a stop sign, and around the corner walks the Dalai Lama with his entourage. It was so much better than trackstanding in front of a group of gewd lookin' ladiez.

I'm pretty positive he didn't see me.

Even the Dalai Lama loses his inner calm traveling through US airports.

And you should've stopped to pitch fixed gear riding as tenant of Buddhism instead of showboating .

The fact that you are here on bf and you and everyone else is commenting is sign enough that he was impressed just as much as you are.

good question, i do enjoy his restaurant (snow lion) though. apparently it is packed whenever the dalai lama is in town. i was at a coffee shop across the street today and saw at least 10 members of his entourage (i really don't know what else to call them, is there a name for the group that goes with him everywhere?) go into the restaurant.

One time, I saw the herbal doctor the Dalai Lama visits every time he's in San Diego.

On my visit, he touched my palm for a few seconds, looked at my eyes a few more, and says 'you have a sinus infection and bad heartburn.' I did. I'm a believer.

The herbs he prescribed tasted like goat poo mixed with coffee grounds. The heartburn went away pretty quickly.

if, really, you're at one with everything....then you are speaking for the dalai lama, regardless of whether this is really the dalai lama posting or not.
