Distance of your commute

I have seen many people give there distance they commute daily. I would like to give mine as one of the shortest commutes daily. I ride 1.2 miles one way.

I've got a pretty short one, 5.2 miles roundtrip, but it involves 500 feet of climbing over the last mile, so it's a decent workout in the morning, and an nice (and very cold!) downhill after work.

My commute to work is 15 - 20 feet It's the commute from "work" to school and back that is a little over 16 miles RT. Working from home has a few advantages.

I miss my old 30 mile RT commute. After a few months of that, I would pack two backpacks, leaving mandatory items for work in the second pack. I would ride to work on Mondays with a full pack of clothing and weekly needs, then turn around and go home to get pack #2. It was a great way to mix up the commute doldrums. Now, I'm on a 16 mile RT commute, where it's dark when I leave for work, and dark when I get home. Once Spring hits, I'll try the double again.

Depends on the route I take. Lately I've been going a less direct way to avoid a busy highway and ride along a resevoir instead This route is about 12 miles each way, direct route about is 11 each way. I've also taken to riding the bus home since I don't enjoy riding in the dark that much. This puts me at 12 miles in and about 3 miles back (plus a bus ride).

I'm an 18-22 mile round trip depending on the route I take.

My round trip is roughly 6 miles. Its all downhill the way there and on the way back is the tougher part. Not too bad now but it use to seem daunting to me. I am trying to find time to bike more but it seems hard so on my ways home I take a detour and instead of getting home in 15-20 mins I get home in about 30 mins to an hour depending on how I feel. On the way to work though I make sure its direct because the bus route is that way and I don't have a transportable tire pump yet but i'm getting one soon.

36 miles round trip - my only regret is that I can only do it 2-3 times a week since I have to go into to the city (90 miles round trip) twice a week or so.

My round trip is usually 22 miles, but sometimes I stretch it out to 24-30 miles.

Just barely shorter then my wifes. She has a 1.4 mile commute to the office. However she is officially on duty when she crosses into the town border which makes it a little over 100 yards I wish my commute was something like that.

7 miles round trip through downtown Philadelphia. To add miles, I purposely go home after work and change before I go back into town for errands, dinner, etc.

Mine is 12 miles round trip. Would be nice if it was shorter for those days I am tired or don't feel great.

I'll admit it....I'm a wuss....

I normally only commute between the time changes...give or take a week or two depending on the weather....I'm a fair weather commuter....

54.4 miles r/t from my garage to front door of work.....
