I'm areo levers all the way. That said, those levers were the sweetest levers ever to wrap your fingers under and pull really hard - like going up 15% on a fix gear. Your photo shows clearly that feature.
I put 30,000 miles on a pair of those, 20,000 if which fixed. Rode up Mt Diablo fixed on the next pair.
