Rivendell's Woes
This is something of a duplicate post from what's in the C&V forum, but since many of us have dropped by the warehouse and have meet Grant over the years, well...perhaps we have a special interest. I have mixed feelings about the Rivendell enterprise, but Grant & the team can speak for themselves:

I've never been to his store but I really appreciate his "Roads to Ride" books. They were thumbed over almost every night by me over 30 years ago. Still have them in fact. I feel buying a store credit is the least I could do.

This will probably be more fully covered in the C&V posts, but Grant blasted out an email this evening that "You saved us..". Apparently the plea for an assist resulted in his taking in $215K virtually overnight, ensuring Rivendell will be around for a while longer.
Nice ending to this thread.

Never been there, ride carbon with disc brakes, and Di2, but I salute the Riv’ mission.

Saw Grant about an hour ago on the Contra Costa Canal trail. Heading west at Jones Road. Maybe it's just me but I think he looked more relaxed and happy. I wonder if he was cutting out early. You go guy!

While I'm not necessarily a fan of many of his products, and don't know Grant personally, I think its important that companies like his remain part of the bicycling community.
So, I'd like to encourage anyone on the fence to help. To that end I'll send a bottle of CHAIN-L to anyone paying $15.00, of which $10.00 goes to Grant, and I keep the $5.00 to cover the postage, PayPal fee and mailer; the product itself would be my donation.
I'll do two bottles for $25 with a 20/5 split.
