sway with Curt bike rack

I purchased a Curt bike rack, hitch mount, from my local U-Haul dealer. Used it last week, and WOW - the sway in it was concerning. Everything was installed correctly - screw bolt through hitch was tight, pull-pins were all installed, etc. But the rack would move 4 - 5 inches from side to side when I would turn a corner. I went back to the U-Haul dealer and was told that it was "normal" movement. Any opinions??

Normal movement. There are devices that can take up the slop between the rack and the receiver and I fully intended to get one, then I never did and got used to the sway.

To Lessen That, the same sort of buckles and hooks and nylon straps used on the strap on trunk racks can act as snubbers for lateral motion

of the hitch mount racks,

of course to open the door/trunk lid you have to remove those.
