Hi all!
Please use this thread to ask questions and report any issues with the new mobile skin, photo uploader, or gallery tools.
Here are a few details and how-to's on uploading and viewing photos in the new galleries. (NOTE: you can still access all your existing photo galleries by bookmarking this link: BikeForums Photo Gallery
Gallery Pages (Coming April 2018)
We're upgrading the gallery page to show you more photos all at once. You can now also browse by new options such as “Trending,””Recent,” “Commented,””Popular,” and your own “Albums.” This will allow you to have a custom experience with the new Gallery.
On single photo pages you will see the photo you selected, but it's more than just that; you will also be able to discover related photos, comment, see trending pictures, and also see other photos in the same album.
Uploading photos to your Gallery Page
On the page with your albums and where you upload images, you can upload your photos in many ways:
1. Drag and drop photos directly onto the page
2. Upload your photo with a URL
3. Attach photos from your device
Photo Uploader coming soon! (New!)
With the new uploader you can now upload your photos in more ways:
1. Drag and drop your photo (New!)
2. Select photos already uploaded to an album in the new gallery (New!)
3. Upload your photos with a URL (same as before)
4. Attach photos from your device (same as before)
Uploading from your mobile phone (New!)
You can now use your phone's camera to upload a photo immediately after it's taken.
Arranging your photos
Once your photos are uploaded, you will be able to drag them around to rearrange them in the album, tag, and delete your photos. You can also "lock" your photos, which will prevent them from showing up in the public gallery. If you want more members to be able to enjoy your photos, leave them unlocked.
Once the attachment process is completed, select the paperclip icon to show a dropdown menu with the option to paste your photos in-line within your post, making the user experience more efficient in adding and managing your photos from all device types.
MOBILE SKIN ENHANCEMENTS
In the NEW mobile skin, we have made it easier for you to navigate on the forums! For example, on the main forum page you will be able to expand and collapse forum headings to access subforums within (with out loading another page like before).
We’ve also made some improvements to the sub-forum pages where you can start browsing different threads in a much cleaner lay out with segmented color coded sections.
These changes are designed to be small, incremental improvements to make it easier to differentiate different types of forum text content, and make browsing easier on your mobile device.
Please let us know if you have any issues or concerns,

OK. I was on iPad before. Now Mac.
I know this is a big ask, but will you consider not using the "frames" interface. I know it's not old-school HTML frames. But, the header and footer combine to take up around 1/5 (20%) of the screen real estate, depending on the monitor being used. Maybe shrink it down to the nav bar only?
EDIT: It seems that the header is locked on Firefox but it auto expands on Safari. It could just be me. I have a lot of script blockers and plugins on my firefox. I allow most of what BF has going on. But, maybe one that I block is responsible for the auto-hide header. Hmmm....
Also, please don't bring back that old "Mobile Friendly" version of the site I would immediately request the desktop version every time when using my iPhone. This spoofs the UserAgent and tells the server that my phone is a desktop browser an thus serves up the non-mobile-friendly normal site, which worked just fine.
Keep up the good work.

Okay, no images apparently but X boxes in IE and nothing in FF.
That worked.
Pasting works. 1024 x xxx seems to be too much for it though (WHY is it equating images with character count)??? Not acceptable, I had to cut one thing out and the cryptic, " The text that you have entered is too long (190388 characters). Please shorten it to 40000 characters long." means nothing to me nor explains it.
We're back in 2003. And I have to edit out two attachments of the same thing that I thought I was posting in line.
URLs don't yet.

Please put the Control Panel link back where it belongs as well. Hiding basic things in menus without instructions is not good programming policy, nor are 'hamburger menus' (three horizontal lines like a burger).

From the complete lack of mentioning in the CP I gather that auto-scrolling was tossed.

@ mentions doen't seem to be working.
The at-mention is saved in the text, but not displaying proper.
For example, I will at-mention myself here: @carleton is the greatest!!
If you quote or edit my text, the "mention" tag will be there, but the text doesn't render properly.
Firefox 59.0.1 on mac OS X 10.13.4.
EDIT: I viewed this post via Safari 11.1, and the behavior is the same. All I see is: " is the greatest!!"

I have no idea what that means to me or if it's important.
I can't turn off certain elements when I try to edit. In that way it seems to misbehave like 4.2.1 or .2 can. That is why I'm stuck with the underline from links stuff. Does the break HTML icon do that if I highlight?
Okay, that worked. It wasn't fully obvious to a neophyte I would think.
Seriously, let's get a test drive section so we can learn to shift. I'm a geek.

Need to add OP date next to OP poster so we're not replying to X-year-old threads (even more than usual).

As Carlton mentioned the mentions are now broken on both mobile and desktop (used to be broken only on mobile).
Also, please, please bring back the feature that clicking on a thread you've already read will automatically take you to the first unread. It currently takes me to the first post, then I have to hit last page, then scroll until it no longer looks familiar.
I also don't love the colors, but maybe I'll get used to them. No excuse these days for not meeting at least the bare minimum of accessibility standards though.

Another point: could we get the original post date back? I like knowing that a thread is an old one before I open it. (Although you may have noticed I didn't always look and posted answers to some very old posts!)
Thanks, Ben

Please add the forum/thread breadcrumbs back to the bottom of the pages as well, beneath the last post but above the quick reply box. I literally used in every thread I open.
