Track bike sizing issue. Please help

Hi,

I have two same track frames. One thats a size 19" and one thats 21". I'm 5'6.5 in height. Which one should I use so I can sell one of them. In addition, both track frame has no clearance but the 54cm even less clearance then the 19".

I really want the 21" if I can somehow downsize everything so it would fit me better. maybe 20c tires, shorter stem, risers, lower seatpost and push a little forward on the saddle (all varies).

Maybe sell both and get something that fits better.

Fit calc: https://www.competitivecyclist.com/za...LCULATOR_INTRO

Also, talk in centimeters for road and track bikes. Inches are like Greek around here.

Is it for track use or street? What are these frames?
Use a fit calc. Find out what your ideal TT length is. If you can swing the 21" without slamming the saddle or using a chode stem, it will probably have a bit less toe overlap than the 19". FWIW I'm the same height.
Street use? 20c tires in NYC no bueno.

Ride the things and go from there - riding a bike is the ONLY way to set up a bike properly or to determine if it fits, all other methods are first approximations only.

Thread has run it's course. Please refer to the sticky on fit at the top of this forum and feel free to open a new thread with more specific questions after you have followed the instructions in the sticky.

Thanks!
