Same down this way. Four-hour (with stoppies) rec ride yesterday. To/from work today; warm enough that I'll add a half-hour or so loop along the river on the way home.

Rode into work this morning. And I'll ride home, but I'll be taking a detour to do some shopping and run a couple of errands on the way back.
That's pretty normal for me, on very rare occasions I'll drive to work, but that's fairly rare.

Then after we rode a little, his rear derailleur stopped working correctly. But it was so nice out that we had a pretty good ride anyway.

Yesterday. I had to the day off to go to a dental appointment. We had an unusually nice, dry day. I don't know that it ever went over freezing, but I have clothes for that. 15 miles in, about 19 on the way home. I miss riding in the day time. My commute is pretty much dark both ways this time of year. Time to go see Machka and Rowen.

Yesterday the 10th, 76 miles. Down to 17F at one point. Forgot to use insulated bottles. Had fruit punch flavored crushed ice. Clothing just right, comfortable. When it gets to about 20f I switch my gloves for mittens.

With a full time job(4a-4p 6 days a week) and 3 kids (2 nephews temp. living with me, and my Goddaughter who's with me indefinitely), I haven't had the time to ride my bike since the bike tour I did back in September. There's always something; pee-wee basketball, cheerleading that would leave us riding after dusk if we biked to them which I refuse to subject them to on these local roads. On top of all that, I'm trying to buy a house as I'm being evicted from the one I've been renting for the past 2 decades. I'm hoping work slows down a bit and my brother returns from his business travels to take his boys back in 2017.

Today!
I went to work for a bit, then ran some errands with the trailer...11.3 miles total, at 6 degrees F with snowpack on the roads. The snowstorm is coming in tomorrow, and I prefer not to drag tubs of kitty litter around in snowstorms

If you paid attention you'd know I take transit to work when I don't bike. (I posted this from the bus - I couldn't do that if I was driving).

What about hundreds and hundreds of public transit commuters who were stranded and late for work this past Monday morning due to a bunch of public transit failures because of winter weather conditions ??..It happens regularly every winter.

In spite of my personal rules of not riding when I'm sick or when the water has chosen to present itself in solid form, I rode to see my physician yesterday. I've only been this ill once before, but that was over four decades ago when I was still immortal. I would have taken a cab, but my spouse also needed to be seen (with the same respiratory infection) and she gets carsick under normal conditions. I might have tried to tough this one out, but we did that this past February and both ended up with pneumonia.
My physician's office is only about two miles away and traffic was light owing to our overnight ice storm (lots of folks couldn't drive out of their streets because of trees and power lines being down across them, and those who could drove cautiously on the icy roads). The pharmacy is only three blocks from the medical office, which was convenient.
Now, back to today's entertainment and primary job: breath in, breath out. Pathetically difficult to do this past week.
