FYI - the Box of Crap seems to be at my PO Box now, but I won't get a chance to open it until early next week.

Box of Crap was received as expected, but I haven't been able to actually open it yet.

No, it is not impossible to open it. There is no impermeable barrier that encapsulates it, I just have not had the time. I expect to open (with the requisite picture) and figure out what to swap out and add to the mix this weekend. I will be contacting the next person on the list for mailing address this weekend as well.

Thanks everyone for your patience!

Box of Crap is still safely in my car's trunk. I will pull it out tonight and finally get things moving.

Sorry about the delay!

Box opened, and stuff swapped. Unfortunately, the box is falling apart at the seams, so I will need to get a new box before I can ship tomorrow.

I added a stem extender, stem and decal to my stash, and added a few goodies to the box of crap. It seems that whenever I put a bike together for someone, they always want the handlebar higher, so these will be helpful for me.

There were a few other items that I thought about "just in case", but I am trying to minimize my stash, so I left them for someone who may need them more.

It has most certainly been my goal for a while now to build up a bike of crap on a crappy frame I picked up for $4 (that's right, not $5).

Not 100% decided if I want it to be geared or not yet, but so far I've got frameset, hubs, some old 27" rims I had kickin around, crankset, bb, stem, and a pretty sweet cupholder. We shall see what in the box inspires me this time. I will then proceed not to think about thr fact that I have spent in the neighborhood of $100 shipping the box

Will definitely post it when it comes together

We're 8 days beyond this post. Please, let's move the box along to the next recipient and get the Game back on track. This is taking entirely too long for something as simple as going to the PO and dropping off a box for shipment. Come on, it's not rocket science...

Yep, I've got it. Opened her up but haven't sorted through fully to decide what I want to take. I'm aiming to get it out on Thursday.

Rules (this is important):

1. If you can't abide by the rules, please don't play
2. Ship within 5 working days of receipt of box (if you're on the list, you should have some crap ready to be put into the box - right?)
3. Remove only crap you intend to use yourself
4. Do not remove crap to sell to somebody else
5. Do not remove crap to pass to somebody else
6. Try to put in as much or more crap than you remove
7. Report receipt via this thread upon receipt (same day shouldn't be too difficult - we're all addicted to this forum and most post daily. Don't suddenly disappear once the box makes it to you)
8. Photograph the box contents as received (not a completely-revealing photo - just the box open and the crap on the top of the pile) and post (this thread is worthless without pics and all that...)
9. Photograph what you took out, but not what you put in - it's supposed to be somewhat of a surprise.
10. Players must have 150 posts or more. This, of course, is to facilitate PMing to pass/receive mailing addys. Additionally, if you're serious enough to post this many times, you're part of the community and much less likely to be jumping onboard just to get some free crap
11. Please, no completely worthless, borked crap (unless, of course, it's a cat-toy or has a string tied around it signifying its use as a small boat anchor).
