Upgrade Kenda tyres to Hutchinson Python 2?

Someone local to me is selling a pair of Hutchinson Python 2 tyres (27.5x2.25") for about half retail (£30/$40), having only done 15 miles. I haven't asked why he's upgraded yet.
I'm tempted to get them to upgrade from the 27.5x2.1" Kenda Puncture Protects my Carrera Vulcan came with (I haven't had any problems with them, but I was thinking of going a bit wider due to everything being mud).

Are they decent tyres? Worth the upgrade?
