SLR confusion - V-Brake compatibility
I've become super confused about road levers and brake compatibility.
I have a pair of Shimano ST-5703's. Is SLR (super linear response) the same as Linear Pull?
i.e. Can I use these levers with V-brakes? Without a travel agent.
If I do need a travel agen to work with V-brakes, am I correct in thinking that mini-V-brakes will work without one?
Thanks

No Drop bar Brifters are Linear pull the ones that are dont have the shifting mech integrated..
if the tire is not too fat you can fit a Mini V brake the arms are shorter so demand less cable pull..

Doubt it. There are shorter-armed v-brakes available.

edit: if you already have 90mm v-brakes you could probably make it work by adjusting the pads to be very close.

Shorter than 90 might be cutting it fine
This is promising though...
