Vintage Nishiki Olympic 12

I just bought a vintage Nishiki Olympic 12 from the 80’s and was wondering how much it is worth. It has full suntour components and every mechanical bit is perfect. Not a spec of rust, but a good amount of scratches. I can show pictures soon.

That's an interesting bike. Must be something like a 17" frame. Absolutely no stem tube. Top tube & down tube join together in one lug at the stem. Awesome!. And, it looks like it has the remnants of a Champion Tubing sticker. Probably Champion Tange 2 tubing. Absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, vintage Japanese bikes have been languishing on the market lately. People don't want to pay a lot for an old bike anymore. They want everything to be less than $200. You might get $185 for it from somebody around 5'-2" tall. Be good. Have fun.

The frame size seemed pretty intresting to me too! Thanks for the first appraisal! Also, just figured out it is a 1982 marketed for the USA and it is the 15470th frame of that year.

The decals and headbadge are for the 1983 model year Olympic 12 for the USA. The frame may have been manufactured in 1982.

This dating matches the components 82/83 were than only years theses clamp on shifter's and matching drs came on new bikes. Also the only years Nishiki made the extra small frames with head lugs most year the head tubes were hand brazed on the xs frames.

I have the exact same bike. Bought it new Sept 85. I’ve changed the seat, calipers, wider bars and cassette, but still have all the original parts.

Nishiki did make some models with a 17" frame, so it is possible. I'm not sure about the Olympic. It could also be a 19" frame. Best to measure.

Looks to be the smallest of the frames with head lugs which would make it an 18".
