Shimano Front Derailleur Screwdriver ?
Does Park make a special screwdriver for adjusting Shimano front derailleur screws ? I have tried phillips and have ended up using a small flat blade screwdriver. Not very good but it works. It looks like a small flat screwdriver with a round pointed center would be the thing needed.

You need a JIS screwdriver. https://www.vesseltools.com/handtool...trial-standard Various mfrs and levels of quality available. Much harder to strip out "JIS-Philips" heads with these. Works on all Asian screws.

A JIS phillips. Makes sense for a Japanese derailleur 
I have a set of JIS screwdrivers. Hadn't thought of using them. I use them for removing the cabinet screws on Yaesu ham radio cabinets so I don't round out the screw heads.

I believe that Park offers something like that -- why don't you check Park's webite and find out for yourself instead of asking strangers on the internet? PRO TIP: I've never tried this but many have said you can just grind down the tip of an ordinary Phillips, and it works well enough.
Back to regular programing.
JIS screwdrivers are the proper tool as reported above by the nice strangers. Though the Park Tool one is expensive.

It also helps if you relieve the spring pressure on the screw by pushing/pulling the derailleur by hand while making the adjustment, instead of trying to use the screw to drive against the force of the spring. But the correct JIS screwdriver or or swapping the screws for socket head is the best in any case.

I tried using a JIS phillips screwdriver as suggested and it works perfectly. Thanks for all the reposnses every one.

Not so much on derailleur screws, but on electronics items and many others, JIS screws can be recognized by a dot or dimple on the head next to the drive recess.

The Park Tool DSD-2 is probably the finest screwdriver I have used and I highly recommend it. It is supposed to "exceed JIS standards" I don't know if that is totally true but it certainly is excellent at its job.
