Happy Thanksgiving. Also I posted this last year but since it is both informative and funny I thought I would share again. A little PSA from our beloved Captn Kirk

OMG This is even better than last year, it is a rapping remix of his PSA

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I'm up at 3:43, due to sleep problems, so I figured I'd burn a number & get on the 'puter. I'm not real crazy about turkey, though I've definitely consumed my fair share before, so for a little change of pace, I bought a half of a roast duck, plus the other normal stuff, like stuffing & gravy & pumpkin pie & cool whip. A person needs extra pumpkin pie for a few days, too, ya know. EDIT: BG, that might be the next Alice's Resaurant Massacree, for the younger generation. I scored a nice minty vinyl copy of Arlo's anthem, a couple years ago, which will definitely be spun some today.

I'm at work today, hopefully no one sets their house on fire deep frying a turkey. We usually get at least one. Hopefully everyone else has a good thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It's about time to get the bike out and freeze for an hour! It helps warm the body up for eating later!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I too would like to thank all of my new friends at C&V for all of the help that you have given me both directly and indirectly as I begin my journey in to the vintage bike world. You are a remarkable group to associate with. The sharing of knowledge, respectful tone in disagreements, and generosity in assisting one another with locating hard to find parts is second to none. Although my work shift tends to make me a social hermit, I am hoping to join the Chicago area crew for some group rides this upcoming season.

Thanks again!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in this wonderful community!

Be with family, eat hardily, give thanks for all you have and please think twice about shopping today. Save Thanksgiving. Let's not make it just another excuse to shop like we've done with so many of our holidays. We can always shop, but we can't always be with family.

Enjoy!

The sun is out here in the Twin Cities.

I'm certainly thankful for that and obviously so much more.

Time for a nice 15 mile loop up to North Minneapolis and back along the mighty Mississippi.

Then bring on the feast.

Yes, here's to a healthy, happy holiday. My wife is getting home tonight after 3 weeks in China, so I'm thankful. I don't do a turkey anymore.
Too much for my vegetarian wife and her parents, and me. I'm cooking tomorrow. A couple of game hens, Brussels sprouts with shallots, mashed 'taters, green beans with garlic and sweet potato pie.

Safe holiday everyone.

Ha ha - I'm going to have to see about meeting up with you when I get back Stateside (once I've retired from active duty Navy in late June '14) and "burn a number". Seeing as it's all legal-like in WA these days

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. And to everyone else on the Forum, particularly those I consider not only acquaintances, but good friends, too. May you sleep away your afternoons well stuffed!

By the way, I'm sitting not ten miles away from First Encounter Beach, where the pilgrims first landed. That first meeting with the native folks didn't go so well but, they persisted. Saw some turkeys wandering through my neighborhood the other day, and wondered how they'd taste. It's the old hunter in me.
Of course, if I ever try to find out, my wife will skin me alive and serve me up.

Oh, man - guys, they hooked up up like royalty! Myself, the other Chiefs and the Wardroom all assisted in greeting, serving and bussing for an hour before we got to sit down for all the trimmings. I am well-stuffed

Looking forward to the next three days off, too. More miles in the pool; in fact, I picked up my 50 mile certificate today. Hope to have my 100 miles by end of the year.
