Thanks! I just looked at the article date. That Bicycling issue came out right about when Peter Mooney built my bike. I"m guessing that Peter had fewer machines then as he was just starting out so my bike probably has more done by hand. 5 years later, I visited him and watched him work for about half an hour. He was just doing finish filing on forks. He'd pick up a file, take a few strokes on a fork, hang it up, take another, a few strokes. Then he'd pull out another file and do the same, only different filing and not quite the same selection of forks. No wasted notion at all. I watched in awe.

Bruce moved to Eugene to be closer to these guys.
