I'm sure this is driven by insurance reimbursement rates. They (Ins. Co.) don't want to pay the high rate guy to do entry level work so they force it to happen by reimbursing in a manner so that the care is delivered in the most cost efficient way. It makes sense as long as it doesn't force the entry level staff to do work above their pay grade. If you were getting a will written you would want the paralegal to paint by numbers and then have attorney review, adjust and revise and take much less time and passing the savings on to you.

It appears Bike magazine is no more. Been a subscriber since their inception in 1994 when Cyclist or some other mag went away. Maybe it was Bicycle Guide.

Dang, really slow morning. We have a nice day ahead for riding but I’m currently watching the Giro and enjoying coffee. We did manage a short 18-19 mile tandem ride yesterday. My wife was a trooper and didn’t say much about her back until the ride was over. She said the flattish ride was pretty much the limit for her back and that’s fine. She keeps trying.

The bottoms almost look to be past flat. Could be an illusion.
I got rid of my older bars over the last few months, replacing all 3 with short reach/short drop bars where I'm more comfortable in the drops and the ramp is flat to very slightly down, with the bottoms level or darn near. I find that much more comfortable than the old bars I had on them.

Have you used anything other than the Soma Highway One? Flat ramp 26.0 bars aren't exactly scarce, but it looks like the main players are limited to Nitto or Soma. I'm waffling between the HWY One and the Nitto Noodle. The Soma Roundwise looks like it could be an okay option as well.

I'm going to try riding one of my road bikes on the mup today. Yesterday I ride the mtb around the neighborhood for 1.5 hours. Ribs/back didn't bother me at all but the groin/hip thing hurt when I stopped, stood on the pedals, or just getting on or off the bike. I lowered the dropper which helped. Didn't seem to cause any negatives, so we'll see about the road bike this a.m.

Nah. I like the one Highway One on the Battiglin so much I put one on the Ritchey. Then I got a Zipp bar for the Bianchi, since it's 31.8, because the drop on the old ITM bar was EVEN DEEPER than the Cinelli Nerve I'd had on the Battaglin.
