Gold 1980's Miyata - 1024 steel - value?
I love springtime on Craigslist - lots of new and interesting bike offerings pop-up. I don't know much about Miyata's. Here's a pic below. Looks like a '1024' sticker on the seat tube and the fork. "Miyata Cycle' on the down tube.
Can you provide an approx. value?
Thanks.

Still learning
Rusty chain, indicating a likely need for full overhaul, new tires, low grade hitensile 2040 frame. $50-$60 fmv as shown.

FYI, while it may be hi-tensile steel, it should be double butted. This was common on lot of lower mid-range models in the late 1970s.

From the little I know about Miyatas, they did not combine down-tube shifters with hi-ten frames. This should be their Cr-Mo frame. Not a bottom rung bike.

Yes - if I was a flipper it would be a candidate. And, I'm trying to not become a 'collector' - 6 bike so far. If I'm going to add any more I want them to be special or an upgrade to one I already have.

This bike should make a nice rider and would be a good candiidate for someone looking for a beginners project bike. The price is fair I would put it at $75 as presented. I don't really see this one as good flipper and as said it really isn't nice or interesting enough to add to a collection

I totally understand that. But ... flipping a bike like this might add some cash to your pocket so you can "upgrade" your stable. Works for me...
