While I was in the infusion chamber a staff member brought a poodle pup in. wut Better than a cat, I guess. I might have been attacked.
For the first time in a year, my weigh-in was less than the previous appointment. 147.
If my mouse med would do it's job, there's still hope for me to be a lean cycling machine like the good old days.

I went out first thing this morning to get an 8 pound bag of bird seed at Ocean State Job Lot, a discount store, for the birds that live and carouse in a small patch of woods behind my apartment. To my surprise, I was able to score two rolls of TP.
So far the schools, colleges and library are boarded up but other than that, social distancing is the main deterrent to contagion. I feel for lower paid workers who with the slowdown of economic activity are having a hard time making ends meet. I joked in an earlier post about using a stimulus check to buy bike gear but I would rather use it in some charitable way. Suggestions?

consensus on tiagra? Would you guys settle for tiagra if you were buying a new bike? Comparing the 4 that i’m interested in, seems there all priced around the same between 2200 to 2800 for 105, but if I settled for tiagra, I could get the bike for 1450 to 1800.
Is there a huge difference between 105 and tiagra?
Is it something I would have to replace earlier on down the road where the 105 would last longer?
Realistically with me being back at work my average monthly miles will probably drop to 250 or less. And I would like something that will last atleast a year before I even have to utter the word bike shop or parts.

I was mentally composing a response about how the urge to upgrade would say more about you than about Tiagra, etc, etc, but then something struck me an I felt the need to circle back -
With the price differences that you're talking about, are you looking at the same frame and similar trim (wheels, bars, seat post, etc)? And have you decided on disc vs rim? The reason that I ask is that, even with hydro disc, which is more expensive to upgrade, you could get Ultegra levers and calipers for under $400, new RD/FD for another $100 and then a cassette for ~$50. In theory, you could grab a Tiagra bike and upgrade it to Ultegra for less than $600, if they frame is worthy.

Indeed I did. Doubled to 400 mg. The witch doctor did a drive-by and told me I should have started at that level, but insurance won't pay until you try the lower dosage for a while. So it goes.

Busy day today. I am converting over to tele-medicine almost exclusively. I have (as of now) 12 appointments and only one is in real life.
Sadly, my usual Friday volume is more like 20 so we are still losing money. We officially had to furlough 3 front office staff today, with the understanding that we want them back when operations are back to normal.
My head is spinning.
Good news is my father turns 86 today and is still reasonably healthy. Dad!

Our Governor is speaking in two minutes. Colorado is going to shut down. I ran to the bank and got two sandwiches at Lolitas.

I keep hearing murmers about Illinois getting locked down as well. I wonder if they will follow the lead of CA and start with major cities before moving to a state-wide thing.

Al Emonda
Sl emonda
Domane sl 5
Giant Defy advanced
and ferrazi empire comp.
All of these were hydro disc 105 and all were between 2000 and 3000.
She wants it under 2000, so I believe that would eliminate the trek bikes which isn’t a deal breaker, after looking around they seem to be a little more expensive than average. The giant and the ferrazi both come same frame and wheels but with tiagra and that brings the price down below 2000.
