Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Who Knew?

https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-sh...135122952.html

oh, wait, ALL of us here in the 41 knew cycling was good exercise, especially for those with knee issues...

Hopefully as more folks see their Sunday heroes riding, they'll cut us slack on the roadways, too!!

Cool article, thanks for sharing!
Love this quote:
“It takes pressure off your legs, you feel better off of it,” Winslow said. “I’m riding every day. I have to. If I don’t, I just don’t feel right. I’m even thinking about it right now.”

Really? It wasn't the football helmet, jersey, and cleats that threw you off?

Ray Lewis, who lives very close to me, has also become quite the road riding fanatic. Also not that hard to spot as he's still pretty massive, but not as huge as some. Still waiting for the opportunity to join him for a few miles.

I wonder if this is posted in A&S. I could go for a 17 page debate about riding with a football helmet on.

Watch your back, and be very leery if he wears a white kit.

Probably made by the same company that makes 95% of people's bike helmets anyway (Riddel is owned by Easton-Bell who makes both Giro and Bell helmets, along with Easton hockey & baseball helmets)
