Will Dura Ace 7900 Bar End shifters work

with a Dura Ace 7800 rear dérailleur?

Any advice is appreciated.

Yes it will work just fine, as long as the cassette uses the same number of speeds as the shifters. Otherwise you'll be left with friction shifting only.

Do the 7900 shifters even have the friction option anymore?

No.

10sp only.

I think there are still Ultegra 9sp shifters available with friction option.

Yes, as long as you're running a 10 speed cassette.

I know the rear 7900 barends are index only but I don't know of any make or model of front barend shifter that indexes in front. So, your 7900 FRONT barend should work with nearly any front derailleur.
