Dekra D-drive 3 speed
Yes I know rated badly but one was in a bunch of bikes we picked up to fix for our church to give to people in need.
Overall looks in good shape. Seems to work fine shifting and contrary to what I read stays in 3rd gear as long as you fully shift into it from the start. Seems to ride smooth and shifts with almost no sound or feel but there's a steady little ticking when pedaling. Doesn't sound or feel like a bottom bracket issue-everything is smooth. It's so steady I wondered if it was normal for the bike. Wanted to check it was worthwhile before we fix the brakes and give away.
If this isn't the best section to post this can you let me know which section is better?
Thanks

The steady ticking in neutral and high gear is intrinsic to the mechanism and thus normal. The low gear pawls are separate and get outpaced by the shell when the hub doesn‘t operate in low gear.
