you can hold a plate style gear hanger up to the Juy one to use it as a guide as to where to cut/grind the stop. most any brand other than Juy or Huret shall suffice. just mark where you need to cut with a crayon or felt marker.

thank you for the new information

it tends to support the idea of a low countries origin for the frame

[curtains close for a moment whilst juvela dons his deerstalker cap]

am going to make a guess that frame originates with Flandria

they were the first manufacturer in europe to adopt Shimano for pro bikes in 1973

Flandria far and away Belgium's largest producer from a unit volume standpoint

they did a good deal of contract work

if shell width is 70mm yet is BSC threaded that would be another piece of supportive data...

BB shell is 68mm. Adding two photos for info. Made in Belgium on head tube decal and steer tube is stamped Nervor (Nervar?).

thank you

a NERVOR steerer is what one would have expected (french tubing maker)

no relation to Etablissements Peyrard (NERVAR)

a sixty-eight mm shell does not rule out Flandria while a seventy would have tended to rule it in

Belgium seems to be a real homeland for contract builds

---

tubing note -

the 27.0mm pillar size tells you the three main tubes are db

when you get the fittings out of th shell you will be able to examine chain stay interiors

would expect them to exhibit seams

So as mentioned I decided to move some of the good bits over to this Gitane Pro TdF Service Course. Just have to figure out how to get the Shimano Adamas rear brake to work better, add the new tubulars and Bob's your uncle. Took it for a test flight last evening and the old rear Vittoria started to fail after about 10 Km. Haha. Good thing my daughter can drive now!

Speaking of gun manufacturer bikes, I saw a Mossberg bike for sale recently.
