Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just shrug it off as a matter of Japanese culture and their views on honor (and, maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like there may be a "just don't get caught," disposition to infidelity there - Japanese can be freaky deaky).

Japan, not an international sport org, but still harsh. Wonder what sort of opprobrium adhered to the other party, especially if was a woman.

Stuck at work but already contemplating tomorrow's ride. Start temps will be around 40F so full-fingered gloves and legwarmers will be needed.

'Tis the season.

We have an 8:30 start but ride is only 65 miles, so I will ride the 10 miles to/from the start for bonus miles.

We are riding to Gap! I expect a small group of about 6 riders.

Daughter #2 is living on West Coast time for her remote college synchrony.

Sometimes when I get up early, around 4AM, she is just getting ready to go to sleep.
