Those are relatively interchangeable among different Shimano models. It may be harder depending on how shops in your area are continuing to deal with Covid but probably most older shops should have a couple sitting in a drawer.

Well you know we want to ask what you did. Otherwise we are just going to think you subscribe to the belief that you must tighten everything until you can't turn the wrench any further, and if that happens you put a cheater on it and give it another turn! <grin>

Heh, I’m not really sure to be honest. I mean, obviously I overtightened. It’s weird, I was switching out handlebars and had no previous issues with the clamps. I put the brakes/clamps on a new bar and they wouldn’t fasten right enough. At this point the overtightening began.
I’m not sure what happened between taking them off one handlebar and installing on another.

‘Tis a mystery, but thanks again for the help.

Perhaps the second handle bar wasn't of the correct diameter and the lever clamp wasn't designed to tighten onto that diameter? Andy
