Gel Cork Bar Tape

What a pleasure this bar tape is, not to mention how inexpensive it is.

Perfect for the colder months.

Has the feel of my LL Bean Fishermen’s Sweater.

Next time, you might want to break the tablet in half. Or maybe take two of them. But your current dosage is not working.

Bar tape that feels like a sweater is a first. Hopefully not a wool sweater, because when it rains....

always liked cork tape, but infused with gel sounds really good unless you overstretch it.

I've used Bontrager cork tape and it really holds up. I bought 2 rolls and will rewrap the bars on my 2 bikes over the winter.

It has that old school felty feel. Comforting and relaxing.

Kinda like Lizardskins... VERY soft feeling. I like it a lot - I have it on my Viva Sport -- but at $30+???

"Gel" cork tape means that there's a rubbery gel layer backing the tape. It's generally attached in the same area that the adhesive traditionally goes, and it can eliminate the need for adhesive due to its tacky rubbery texture. It makes the tape a bit thicker, and supposedly provides good damping.

Cinelli Gel Cork, easy to find anywhere generally $15. The non gel version comes in a lot more colors, The Bontrager version is the same stuff most likely.

Great stuff, great feel, easy to wrap, gives a nice look to the bike.
