Yo! I'm Niki and I'm excited to be doing the King of the Mountains Challenge this Spring. I'm a casual rider and usually do a challenging century each year, and I ride and train in the Santa Monica area. I love hills
My usual riding partners both abandoned cycling, and after a very long and lonely training season last year I'll be looking for some company this year. It'd be great to get together a group of people also training for the KOM to hit the hills with.
I ride a Lapierre X-Lite 200 - you don't see many of these around here.

Hello all. My name's Jon from cerritos and I'm a college student going to long beach community college on my blue 1980's cannondale. I love the thing to death and was thinking about getting a fixed gear for a beater bike. My current goal is to be able to run a crit this summer and do fairly well. I ride around cerritos and neighboring cities every day.

much <3 to all good natured cyclists
Name is Libby. I love PCH, canyons, climbing, and night riding. I have LA traffic to thank for cycling. Obscene traffic encouraged me to dust off an eight year old MTB and ride Sepulveda pass from Westside to my then work in the Valley. With no food and no water, dying as I climbed to Mulholland, no words could describe the feeling as endorphins flooded me and I flew down that tunnel.
My lover... err I mean my bike is a Specialized Dolce, all white, named Ghost.
I ride for Cynergy/UCLA as schedule permits. I am looking for compatible night riders. I only rarely see other crazies like me willing to ride down PCH down the white line after sunset. Mostly I ride solo. I am not quite yet willing to fully embrace the world of spandex. I typically hide that I'm a "cyclist" by wearing MTB clothing, improper shorts, etc, etc, etc.
I also am starting to enter the fun and painful world of MTB and am looking to get a fixie this summer for urban/velo riding (and no I won't be one of the red light runners).

Hi guys,
I'm Kevin and I'm from Azusa. I try to ride almost every weekend if I can. I'll also do a century about once a year. I love climbing, even though I'm not very good at it. I like to train on the Azusa 39/GMR loop as often as I can. I want to do the Azusa 39 to Mt. Baldy loop one day. I'm always hesitant because I typically ride alone. I'd also love to compete in a few races, so I'm looking to join a team. If you guys know of any teams out this way that would be willing to work with a newb, let me know.
Definitely contact me if any of you are ever out this way and need a riding buddy. I'm always up for it if I have the time.
This was my very first bike. It's an old school Peugeot that I picked up from Goodwill for $25. It was an awesome bike.
I think I can I think I can. This was climbing Mt. Baldy rode during the Tour de Foothills tour.
The Cali Coast.

I have not posted here yet. My name is Patty and I ride mostly in North County. I did my first 200K last November and now I'm hooked on longer distance cycling. I like to go out for 3-4 hours on Sundays and am always looking for someone to ride with. Off the bike I also do 1-2 marathons each year.

should i say hi too? hi, i'm allen. i live in oceanside and mostly i ride my basket bike around town to places such as trader joe's, henry's, etc. sometimes i will ride inland a bit (bonsall/valley center area usually) for a bit of fitness, but i'm no racer or anything. i used to live in berkeley and used to mtb a bit there, but i haven't rode mtb in a long time. i don't know if there are any nearby trails here, and i don't want to drive far just to ride a bike. i try to do a longish tour every summer but that doesn't always work out. here's a pic of me on my colorado cyclist bargain-bin bike, with camelbak and seatpost rack. everyone point and laugh!

Hello.
I'm new to the forum and also new to California.
My name is Simon, formerly of DC, but now living in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Does anybody ride out there?
When I'm not commuting on my old Schwinn 7spd, I'm riding my Scott CR1 pro for "longer" rides.
I also have a MTB that I've ridden once since I've been here (Gary Fisher Tassajara).
Again...Hello.

Hi, I'm Rose. I'm new to biking, and to BF.
You're most likely to see me riding the Orange Line bike path in the San Fernando Valley, or cruising the loop around Lake Balboa and the golf courses. I'm too new to biking and too chickens**t to bike anywhere other than well defined bike paths at this point. I figure it's best for everyone until I'm a little more secure with myself on the road.

Howdy all, I'm Sean. Also new to biking and BF.
I'm from Thousand Oaks and currently living in Irvine for school. But you're just as likely to see me riding in either area based on the day of week. I'm trying to get in shape and build up my distance riding. Would love to find people to ride with in either areas.
Look forward to talking to you all =)

Hi,
I'm in Rialto. I returning to bike riding by eagerly awaiting my new recumbent trike Sun X-3 AX. I can pickup it up from my LBS next Saturday. Here's a pic: https://www.sunbicyclesnashville.com/trikes.php mine is the blue one. Yes, it was expensive - at least for me, but I want to get back to riding. Two years I was riding a Burley Canto recumbent and broke my ankle riding it - a mossy puddle and I had a disagreement - the puddle won! So I got back on the Burley but I never trusted it again. So I stopped riding.
A month ago I started to exercise my two dogs - a german shephard and a catahoula leopard - while I rode my mom's adult tricycle (Miami sun). I put a harness and a leash on them and they run/trot beside me. It gets them tired. So I found I missed my bike riding. I talked to my LBS and they are going to sell my Burley for me and I ordered the Sun.
I plan to ride to a from work (Rialto to San Bernardino) on a daily basis. I did this for two years on a Trek hybrid then a few months on the Burley after my accident. I enjoy riding. I need the exercise and a way to relax after work, so when I get home, I'm a happy person.
I plan, once I get back into riding and get used to the mileage, to go out with the local bike clubs with their slow group. I enjoyed doing that.

Name is Sean, just got back into riding after a few years. Just purchased a HR Disc that I will be picking up this week. Looking for places to ride in the San Diego (La Mesa) area. Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
