Colnago Master Anniversary Edition
Can you please tell me what this bike is worth? Someone is selling it and I am considering buying it. It looks like near mint condition with campy record 11 speed drivetrain. I think it is either 2013 or 2015 edition. Beautiful paint and chrome . Thanks in advance. Campy hubs and open rims. Deda stem etc

Frameset alone sold for more than $3,000.00 in 2013 according to what little research I did. Add a grand or so for components. Condition is obviously important, so a thorough inspection is warranted, but the pics look good. I suspect you'll find it in fine shape. Can't guess on value but a couple grand would not surprise me.

40% to 50% of original MSRP. Very location specific. Such a bike sold in a mediocre market will not bring that much. Very few buyers at this price point.
In my own market, the highest price stuff is often the best deal. When I bought my Colnago, I was the only person to respond to the ad in over two weeks. And I thought the price was attractive, I just wasn't looking for one so I passed. Seller recontacted me asking for an offer. So I made one and bought it.

I bought mine new from Mike Perry of Maestro, in the UK.
I looked around for a used one, with the same components and wheels. The asking prices were high (I live in So. Cal.) and I didn’t want to buy a bike sight unseen where I could not personally verify the bike’s condition and its prior ownership history (too many stolen bikes out in the market.
I ended up paying a bit more for a new bike, but for me that was the cost of piece of mind.
I looked around for a used one, with the same components and wheels. The asking prices were high (I live in So. Cal.) and I didn’t want to buy a bike sight unseen where I could not personally verify the bike’s condition and its prior ownership history (too many stolen bikes out in the market.

They are nice bikes but the frames didn't change very much from year to year so, unless you really have to have that paint scheme, you can find them pretty cheap.

I never turn a road bike down on the fly that is good, and cheap, they just don't work that well for the kind if riding I do, but that is a beautiful bike.

The question is whether the bike is a collectors item, even if it is only 5 years old. How many of that model were sold? I didn't see anything designating an anniversary, but I'm not sure where to look. Some companies have a lot of anniversaries.
30th anniversary for the Master? 50th anniversary for Colnago?
If it is an exceptionally rare model, then you're probably best just hanging onto it for a while, and keeping wear minimal. Prices could be anywhere.
Otherwise, probably worth in the $1000 to $2000 range.

I paid my local bike mechanic to put it together for me.
The bike rides beautifully and it gets a lot of attention.
Like I wrote earlier, I would have bought a used one but couldn’t find one decently priced, so I went for new.

If only it was built up with period correct Campagnolo Record.
Still, the groupset/build kit is likely worth close to $500, leaving the frame for $500, quite a bargain.
Hmmm, I was going to say that even the stem was left long, but it has a threaded headset.
A few places with paint rub, and shoe rub, but overall, not bad.

There is someone selling a nice looking 9-speed Chorus group in the classifieds, it would work fine with these wheels, you just need a 9-speed Shimano cassette.
Also, this Master has been listed for months and months, it started at $1900 in the summer, so perhaps the seller is open to offers....

Assuming Mavic hubs, a Campy freehub may be available. I've also had some luck with swapping sealed bearing freehubs between brands. Or, one could swap rear hubs.
Or, of course, sell or repurpose the Mavic wheels and get the ones one wants.
