What kind of tubes for a 27" X 1.25" Tire?

I recently been fixing a old 83 Peugeot club U05 and I bought two 27" X 1.25" tires with 700c X 35C-38C tubes at my LBS. I was wondering if these tubes are going to be big for a 630 X 32 tire ?

Thanks for the help!

They should be fine, I interchange 27" and 700c tubes all the time. There should not be a problem with a 35-38 tube in a 32 tire, just be a bit careful installing to avoid a pinch flat. I'm a little more leery about putting a narrower road tube, 18-23, in a wider 35-42 sized tire.

FYI, don't mix fractional sizing terminology with decimal sizing terminology. Bicycle tire sizing is a weird world. Your tires are 27" x 1 1/4."

700c tubes fit fine in 27" tires, and from what I've seen they're a little smaller in diameter pre-inflation than a vintage 27 x 1 1/4" tube.

Most 700c tube boxes will list "27" 1-1 1/4" or something like that somewhere in the fine print.

+1 700 vs 27" interchangability. You need to worry more about the valve type than the size. Schrader vs. Presta have different hole sizes in the rim side.

YEAH! ...daggnabit .... for which you'll need tubes about one and three sixteenths diameter, or close to 1.325 inches...something like 32 millimeters, maybe a titch more.... Or so.

You may have misunderstood the meaning of my post, it had nothing to do with tubes. Of course, 700c and 27" are interchangeable when it comes to tubes, as long as the widths are similar. What I was getting at is that it's not a good habit to get into to state a fractional tire size in decimal terms. Try that in 26" tire sizes, for example, and you'll run into problems.

and while a presta valve will fit through a schrader drilled rim, you don't want to do that. Just take my word on that... k

There are sleeves that will let you run a Presta valve in a rim drilled for Schrader.

Er, I should say "There are sleeves that will let you run a Presta valve in a rim drilled for Schrader without the tube trying to escape through the wider hole."
