Narrow width cycling shoes
Are their any brands of cycling shoes that tend to run narrow? For reference my running shoes are a 13B, so I've got narrow feet.
I currently have a pair of size 47 Shimano MTB shoes that could stand to be replaced. They've stretched some and I literally can't lace them tight enough anymore. The last time I got shoes, these were the only shoes that remotely fit.
I'd like to actually try them on rather than ordering something at random. I'm specifically looking for 2 bolt SPD shoes that are moderately walkable since I also mountain bike.

SIDI makes narrow width (and wide) in many of their models. I just got a narrow in their Dominator 5, which is the mtb equivalent to the road genius model. Awesome fit & shoe. Many dealers don;t stock the narow, but the rep/demo van rolls around quite a bit and you might luck into catching him. Email Sidi for a schedule, or check with the local dealers for stock or demo van visit...

Sidi and Specialized offer shoes in narrow, regular and medium widths. The width options are not available on all models.
Giro shoes are known to run a bit narrow as well.

That happens to me with Shimano shoes as well, and my foot is neither narrow nor wide. I think it is a Shimano thing. My favorite brand is Exustar for fit and durability. Still wearing a pair from 2005. Great heel cup, no slippage, good velcro.

Bumping an old post, rather than making a new one.
Went to the local bike shop and tried a few shoes.
Sidi and Mavic are definitely too wide in the standard models. Narrow is another option, but the LBS would have to special order.
Anyone have any other options, or know of a good way to get narrow Sidi shoes (most stores don't carry these)?

I have a low volume narrowish foot. Myself and friends with the same foot shape all wear Specialized shoes with the Boa dials. They are just fantastic...I have no foot pain and I put them on like slippers and don't even touch the dial. Specialized shoes run like Nike tennis shoes...on the narrow side.
If you have definite A-B width, maybe best to special order a narrow width cycling shoe. One caution however...if a shoe is too tight in the forefoot...it can promote nerve damage...I have experienced this earlier in my cycling life with shoes too narrow.

We probably all need to get together to share body measurements. I run with Brooks Adrenaline B width and swear by my SIDIs in narrow. See if you can get your LBS to get in the narrow width, even if it's special order. Shoes are SO PERSONAL that you really want to try them on to ensure fit is proper.

Lake do narrow and wide fit shoes. Their website has a comprehensive fitting guide.

So I just talked bike shop about ordering shoes. When they measured my foot, it measured as AA width.
It looks like Sidi no longer does narrow width shoes. The only option the store has is ordering a pair of S-Works shoes. Are there ANY other options? I'd really prefer not to spend $400+ on a pair of shoes...
I just looked at Lake, they don't have a narrow width option. Just standard/wide.
How much does a custom shoe cost? I mean, if my only option is S-Works, I'm wondering if it'd be worth it just to get a custom shoe.

from their website - for the genius 5 road shoe (same as the MTB version...)
"...Std Sizes 38-52, half-sizes 38.5-46.5 Mega & Narrow (in black only) 40-52, half-sizes 40.5-46.5 "
I just got a pr of 45s - I'm a B, fits great, even snug (which I like) so would prolly go well even narrower feet than mine....
not sayin specialized isn't ok - but the comment about SIdi is typical LBS bull****, when they don;t really know or care to find out...
my LBS - FastTrack - has no problems doing special orders and bends over backwards to get it done - not that this was a big deal - 4 days and I had them...

bunch of crap, of course Sidi does narrow... LBS is just too lazy (or some other poor excuse) to pursue...

I don't know either but I would be very surprised if they stopped offering narrow sizes on their high end shoes. Good luck, and at this point I would again suggest finding a mail order source that has a liberal return policy in case the fit is not right. Or consider ebay, and flip if fit is off.

I got my size 50 Narrow Sidi carbon shoes from Competitive Cyclist. Perfect for my 14B feet. Ask for Nate King M-F and he'll fix you up.

I just heard back from the LBS.
"Sidi America discontinued selling the narrow versions for 2014. They just have standard and Mega (wide) moving forward."
