FS: Closing-the-Shop Part III: Some Quality Shop Tools: Cyclus, Hozan, Park
ALL GONE AND EN ROUTE TO THEIR RESPECTIVE NEW HOMES. THANKS!
as i've just finished my 'last' bike at the home shop, a few more tools i can let go. all are shop quality tools, not like amazon cheapos.
all priced lower than market. if not sold here, will move on to the 'bay w/o regret. grab on when you can.
1. Cyclus Crown Race Setting Tool aka Knurled Iron Pipe
made in EU, Cyclus is a German operation. can set both 1" & 1 1/8" tube by flipping the end piece.
used a few times, with absolutely no flaw. it even has the OG paper box.
this goes over $55 + ship in the US, always out of stock. you could find one around $30 in EU then paying more shipping.
$42 + actual shipping*
*it's over 3lbs (basically a heavy chunk of steel pipe). let's see what's the economic option depending on the ship-to. my bet is that it'd fit Priority Medium FR box diagonal.
2. Park Tool SR-18 aka Chain Whip
straight forward chain whip. used quite a bit, but absolutely no flaw. functioning as it should be.
small crack at the end only on the plastic part from stupid hammering, but didn't get to the metal part. been mended with silicon.
market price new is around $30ąship
$15 + actual shipping*.
*little less than 1lb, should be Priority Mail.
3. Hozan Pedal Wrench C-200
the sexiest pedal wrench on the market IMO. made in Japan.
15mm. perpendicular open end on each side + double bend angle makes pedal installing absolutely breeze when on a stand. LOVED this wrench, but no use for me any more.
new one runs $40+ship in the US, $20 in Japan + crazy shipping
$30 + actual shipping*
*12oz, might be able to squeeze in 1st Class still saving a couple bucks if East Coast, not much West. the best i see is Priority Flat Rate Envelope
4. Hozan C-356 Inner Wire Plier aka 4th Hand Cable Puller aka Brake Line Plier
made in Japan. the plier that hold the brake/shifter cable for you so you can freely use both hands for adjusting when do the brake/gear work.
absolute japanese quality, way over Park or Pedro or Ice. in this category, you get what you pay for.
new still in the OG packaging. new ones run $30+ship if you can find one.
$25 + shipping. this can go 1st Class.

SOLD OUT & CLOSING THE POST
PS: folks. pls do not 'dibs & disappear'. it stalls everyone's time, creating more unnecessarily work. we all are busy people. i'd love to connect but one sort of PM i'm hating to write—perhaps same to y'all—is 'are you still interested in? are you coming to pay' sort. no?
