Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Rampart Rager 100k Gravel race.

I’ve ridden this course for “fun”. From GoG, it’s going to climb like 3500’ in the next 12-13 miles. It’s going to be followed by rolling terrain that never gets easy. The descent is super steep and loaded with washboards. After that it’s a paved trail.

Its 3 days before my next kid is due, so I won’t be there.

Maybe Ill get to the Crippler.

I missed the Fountan Roubiax they had a couple of weeks ago. The route went over roads I ride all the time. I had no idea it was going on until I saw the turn marker for it.

The one I'd like to do is the Pony Xpress down in Trinidad area maybe next year.

Fountain was great but I got pretty sick at mile 40 and again at 50. I finished without eating anything else and barely drank. I also thought it would be better on a road bike and was very wrong.

I was looking forward to Wellington and Victor but both are now cancelled. There are some local things around the Wet Mountains and South Platte I’ll explore if I have a chance.

I know Milne and Drennan roads can vary from smooth and freshly graded and easy to ride to wash boarded sand and gravel traps.
